Hello, it's been several days and no response. It just happened randomly out of nowhere today not much longer after I started up my PC. Can someone please help?

Hi Ophaq,

Sorry for the delay.

According to the latest dump there seems to be a conflict between Avast and Malwarebytes.
Could you check both for updates. If possible, and you're comfortable with it, I would recommend to remove Avast and use Malwarebytes instead, noticing the free version of Avast is installed. If Malwarebytes is a free program as well, I would recommend to install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Ah, so It's Avast!

Yeah, I've never really use that anymore and have been neglecting to update it. I'll just remove it instead as my MBAM is premium lifetime.

Should I still get MSE with premium MBAM or is that unnecessary/redundant?

EDIT: I also read that ESET is pretty popular to combine with MBAM. Which would be better with MBAM if I exclude all of MBAM's files in the AV?

Should I still get MSE as backup just in case?

Also, thanks a bunch helping identify this problem!

Alright, thanks again.

I've been reading all over the internet and everyone has a varying opinion. I'm so used to having an AV like Avast and mbam working together all these years that it's just gonna feel less secure not having something to pair with mbam. However, I've been with mbam for a long time and it's kept me clean along with noscript and ublock.

Goodbye Avast, my old friend.
