Starting from scratch help needed

Hey all, new to this forum and saw that alot of questions get answered and I understood most of the solutions, although I haven't found one that is the same as my problem although I'm sure it's out there somewhere (so sorry for repeating the question) anyway:
When I first got my PC it came with a 750 and 500GB hard drives, one of which had vista on and the other just for extra storage. When I heard about the 7beta I installed it on the other hdd to dual boot. Win7 quickly become my default and vista started collecting virtual dust.
Now with the RC1 version I want to perform a full clean install. Meaning no vista or 7beta anywhere. I just want the RC1 to boot from the main hdd (750) and have another 500GB hdd or so spare to store random stuff, much like the very start (apart from having 7 instead of vista)

How could I do this? I heard about dban or something but read alot about how it leads to useless wasted memory or something? Any help would e greatly appreciated

Hello Lanky, and welcome to Seven Forums.

When you get to step 8 in the tutorial below, you can select and format both hard drives to wipe them out clean. Afterwards select the one that you want to install Windows 7 RC on, and just finish installing.
