managed to fix problem - used windows boot disc to enter startup repair (this did not detect any problems)
used cmd screen and used bootrec /mbr + bootrec /fixboot commands rebooted seems to be working fine
(Just to confirm Do NOT have magic runes game installed - and never had - issue was with windows boot record)

Thanks,
steven
