So I got a new laptop from dell a few weeks ago and up until yesterday it worked great. Then this weird thing started happening where right when i turned it on it would be at a screen with a loading bar and finish loading. But then it would get to a black screen with an underscore in the top right corner that would just blink until i turned the computer off again. It would take at least 7 times of turning it off and on to get past the screen with the blinking underscore which was the screen before the log in screen. Any suggestions would be amazing, Thanks.

SBR, it looks like your system files might be corrupted. Try running a sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt (instructions here).

If that is the case I would also run a Disk Check, your HD might have problems

If that doesn't work you might need to do a repair install.

Before you do anything, BACK UP YOUR PERSONAL FILES, FAST. If your HD is dying, it might go at any moment.
