HI,

I have a little program called PowerPro, which is a toolbar menu, and having used it for years, can't live without.
It works fine in Windows 7 (x64) but won't start when windows starts

I've done all I can to get it to initiate when I start my computer but to no avail.

There is a shortcut in the following folders...

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

It is listed and checked in msconfig

I have gone into the .exe file properties and tried checking 'start in wondows xp (sp3) mode'

I've typed services.msc into the start menu\search and it is NOT listed there.
Don't know how to get it listed there.

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

So it doesn't start up but you can still initialize it?
Not sure any of 3rd party apps are meant to be listed in services.msc, as i have just checked it myself and my browser doesn't show up there.
You have tried everything i would have suggested
Maybe reinstall the program?
Or is there a version compatible with Windows 7 on the download website?
Have a look for us.

Yes, it doesn't tart up, but when I click the shortcut, it runs no problems.
I only looked in services.msc as anti virus etc are listed there.
No new version yet, hopefully they are working on it.

Thanks

Here is our excellent tutorial that may help you. It mentions the task scheduler, I think that is the way to go. I am sure you will read it more carefully than my quick glance, so you can make your own choice.

Thanks, I went though that page already, but didn't read the replies properly.
I have an aversion to task scheduler from years ago when my setup needed all the memory it could have and anything that drained any resources was shut off. :p
I'll look at using it to start this app
Thanks

That's weird because mine only shows Windows applications.

I have Avira AntiVir Guard, COMODO Internet Secuurity Helper Service, and a couple of others.

Task sheduler didn't work either.
Seems the only way to start this program is by clicking on the shortcut.
Probably have to wait for an updated version :(
