Hi,

My Pc using Win 7 is slow to start, until the red light stops acting crazy pretty much anything i do has a long lag etc.

To give you an example its as if say a update is in progress & using 99% of my ram, thus even trying to open my Chrome start up page takes forever.

Once whatever it is stops the pc runs / operates fine, until i start it again etc.

Can you advise how i can eliminate what runs when i start it up please as its driving me crazy.

Ive run all type of malware tools i have & after deleting / cleanng etc im now ready to get advice to sort this.

Have a nice day

You might want to try a program called Startup Delayer from r2 Studios:

Startup Delayer Overview | r2 Studios

I use Autoruns but also have SD installed and what is cool about it is its "Running Tasks" tab shows not only what loaded on Startup, but exactly When in a Start Time column. Looking at that you can judge how long it took for a particular item to load/run by looking at when the next item started.

To see everything loaded by your system is somewhat dizzying but this Start Time thing has helped me in the past.

As one example, I just rebooted a little while ago, and AvastUI.exe (antivirus) started at 4:37:32 PM, and the next item was airprint.exe that started at 4:38:17. So Avast took some 45 seconds which I think includes that it scans an external USB drive I have connected.
