I have several programs such as AVG, DFX, IDM, APC PowerChute and smile webshots which set to automatically start when i boot Windows 7. But sometimes it doesn't load and I have to manually open each one. I went into msconfig and it shows all these programs are in startup. What could be the problem? And i just have a look at services.msc and all the programs set to automatic start.

Welcome to the forums 7Human, can you post a ss of the startup tab of msconfig.

:ar: Upload SS

I'm guessing that it is not the program that is set for startup but some of it's services.

Try this

:ar: Load programs at startup

   Tip
Got it now…..

The problem is the APC software has a bunch of .exe’s with the main 3 being a systray Icon called display.exe – that one has a shortcut in the Startup folder, then there’s one for the systray called apcsystray.exe, and then we have the actual PowerChute.exe, so......

Anyway what I did was create a task run program using the "apcsystray.exe" and removed the "display.exe" from the Startup folder under All Programs and now all is good.

Thanks.
