I wonder if there is a way to open startup repair can not repair this computer automatically dialog to send information to Microsoft. It does not display after startup repair completes repair dialog. Any help would be great. How can I make this dialog open?
After Startup Repair has run, a text log with diagnostic information and repair results is generated. The log file is located at: C:\Windows\System32\Logfile\Srt\SrtTrail.txt
Thanks for your reply. The problem is this dialog doesn't open when I choose to repair. Shoud I need to have those error below in order to get the dialog?
Registry corruption
Missing or damaged system and driver files
Disk metadata corruption (MBR, partition table, and boot sector)
File system metadata corruption
Installation of problematic or incompatible drivers
Installation of incompatible Windows service packs and patches
Corrupt boot configuration data
Bad memory and hard disk hardware (detection only)
Is the "dialog" the SrtTrails.txt file? or is your problem when you go to start startup repair it won't start?
Any one of the errors you listed should create an entry in the SrtTrails Log, I would believe even running a startup repair with a machine that has no problems would create a SrtTrails log that lets you know it found no errors.
What problem(s) are you having? Starting/booting your computer? BSODs?, Frequent crashes?
If you have more than one hard drive or solid state drive unplug all except the one drive that has your win7 on it, then try the startup repair.
If you still can't get startup repair to work but can run your computer or get into safe mode try a checkdisk: Disk Check
Do you mean when you click on "View problem details it won't open" it will not open to tell you what's wrong?

the window itself doesn't display Anak, just the window on the back shows up. How can I get the window on the front? My computer is new, replaced with the old one at the office. I have no issues but I get blue screen time to time. I try to start repair mode on purpose in order to become admin on the computer.
Hi,
I have no help for built in windows recovery methods other than it pretty much confirms why most people use Free macrium reflect and it's winpe recovery cd/ flash media instead which also has startup repair if a system image was created and of course the recovery media
It has worked every time
Not to mention MS has no interest in fixing anything in win-7 beside upgrading to 10 as the only route to a so called fix.

It sounds like you have a work PC with Windows Enterprise.
The company may have locked down users from doing things.
Can you ask a company IT person about this ?

Yes mate now I work in a governmental department what David and Ranger has said is correct and while I can change things like mouse size speed etc etc romping through the programs say just for a simple example I wanted to install Cleaner my efforts get blocked pretty well immediately.
I find the best way is to contact the IT people and depending on who you get of course most of our people are helpful to a point that is probably your only recourse. Having said that it depends on your level of control/senioority within the company/system too - I m just one of the plebs so am annoyingly restricted.

If you're a restricted user, not much you can do to fix it yourself.
If the company gave you a new PC that isn't working right, the IT department should fix it or replace it.
Have you reported the problems to IT and asked them to fix the problems ?

Yes mate as David said plus trying to hack or crack it yourself could land yourself in hot water - best left well alone if the company you work for is like the department I work for - a quick and nasty slap on the wrists at best.
