Startup Repair Loop/Booting troubles

Hello everyone, first off, I hope that I'm posting this in the correct forum.

So, last night my computer froze when I was alt-tabbing between Marvel Heroes and my desktop as I normally do, unfortunately, when it froze I could not alt-ctrl-del my way out of things to get to the task manager, so I was forced to power it down.

When I tried booting it back up, the system just hung there until I booted a second time and was directed to everyone's favorite repair tool, which ran all night long without ever stopping. After deciding that being in a loop for over 12 hours was a bit excessive, I decided to take further steps by creating a recovery disc on my old laptop.

Once I used the disc, I managed to get the startup repair to analyze things in a minute. However, this showed that my C: partition was nowhere to be found.

Needless to say, I followed various instructions to try and fix things on my own, only to discover that I have 0-byte registry hives and now if I try to reboot, it tells me the following is missing:

File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc0000034

I tried to reset things to its factory settings, but even pressing the factory reset button on my laptop only gives me the above error message. So unfortunately I have no installation disc.

So now I'm here to see if anyone can direct me in the right direction to solve this annoyance.

I did look in the BIOS to make sure that it still recognizes my HD, and it shows that it's there, so I'm hoping this isn't hardware failure.

   Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

You can Order Lenovo Recovery Disks from here:
Home - Lenovo Support (US)
Click on Parts & Accessories.

I had created some type of disc when I first got my system but was unable to find it, so I'm not sure if it was just a Win 7 repair disc or a Lenovo recovery disc. But at this point, it does look like I will have to try my hand at ordering a recovery disc from Lenovo, most likely by phone since I can't find my specific model on their website.

But before I do that, I will try my hand at using partition wizard to see if it may not be able to retrieve the partition for me and then see if I can't continue to follow other recovery instructions that I've found on this site.

Considering that my OEM sticker is faded beyond recognition, following those steps would not do me any good.

As long as getting those discs fixes my problem, it's not too bad, the machine still does everything that I want it to and those discs are a cheaper alternative to a new machine.
