Startup Repair Loop

To be honest I have no idea what happened and if I hadn't bought this laptop two months ago I'd simply have taken a sledge hammer to it rather than deal with this.

So today I noticed that my computer had shut down in the night, I hadn't shut it down it had simply been closed. I ran it just fine, wasn't doing anything crazy with it, when suddenly it went black and appeared to reboot itself. Only it didn't reboot like normal and went into this crazy Startup Repair screen. I let it go for a few minutes then pulled the battery and tried to restart manually, choosing to bypass the screen. Instead it went straight back into it, saying that Windows had failed to initialize. For an hour I let it go on with the repair, it said it was done, I click ok, and it restarts and goes straight back into startup repair.

Now it goes into "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically" and from there I went into a system restore and chose two different dates and both, when completed, simply restarted and brought me back to the startup repair screen. I didn't install anything on the computer nor did I choose to update it. The only disc I appear to have for this is a Drivers and Utilities disc. And when I thought about calling Dell or Microsoft they both kept asking for numbers that I needed to get off of the computer only I can't get anywhere on it.

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it otherwise the only other option is to run crying to Geek Squad with my credit card.

The laptop is a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7 N7110 are all the numbers I even see on this thing.
