Hello all, my laptop is stuck in a startup repair loop. I can't get into my system and I've tried most things I could find on my own, but so far nothing has solved my issue. I can only get to the command prompt after login on, but this requires a password which I don't know because I have not set it. Can anyone help me?

As stated try Archer tip with the recovery for windows loop.

Also If you are talking about safe mode with command prompt, if you have no password you will just leave it blank and hit enter.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply! It has not solved my problem as of yet: when I go to View advanced options for system recovery and support (step 5) I am asked to log on (this doesnt happen in your step-by-step guide) and provide a password. I have no passport set, but it doesn't accept a blank space.

Also, when i start the pc in safe mode with command prompt it just reboots; there is no prompt.

Will it help if I provide the problem signature?

Do you have the windows installation disk? Or if the Operating system was installed onto it you should be able to access the recovery from your computer. If you press F8 on start-up you should come to the Advanced boot menu options. At the top you should have repair you computer. Select it and select your country. When you do that on the pop up box on the bottom left you should have repair you computer.
