Hello everybody.

I have recently installed Windows 7 in my laptop and I've encountered a really annoying problem that I can't seem to solve: static sound.

I have a Realtek HD Audio with the latest updates (R2.66), tried to install older updates like Vista ones but still the same static. Although, if I set to use High Definition Audio Device controllers (Windows ones), the static gets soften but still there.

Any idea of how to solve this problem? =\

1. Laptop or Desktop?
2. Is the static present in headphones and in speakers?
3. Are you using an amplifier?

Do have a mic plugged in or do you use one at all ? it may help to disable realteks mic input via their control thingy.
