I tried to repair by windows 7 DVD...but after inserting DVD...an option come "press any key to boot from CD/DVD" then i pressed anykey then a message "windows loading files" appeared ,,, then
"windows starting " logo appeared....then after that i can see only black screen with mouse pointer.
even i am unable to install a new copy of window beacuse it is unable to boot..
i saw settings in boot menu and all are set to default.

Hope I'm not stepping on toes.
What is meant by your post #1?

I was using my computer suddenly power supply went,
----------

Falak when your had the power problem your bios could of changed due to the power surge.
If it was my computer I would set your motherboard bios back to default and go from their. Your motherboard manual will tell you how to do that.

Please note: I did NOT say update your bios.
Reset to default.

Power supply problems can also cause damage to other hardware in that computer.

Reading this should help.

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/tp/clearcmos.htm

I will go back to watching and get out of the way.

Yes do that. Also be careful with what you touch on the motherboard. Touch the power supply to discharge, if you can use ESD strap. Do you need help on finding your Jumpers to reset the BIOS

Or you could do this also with command prompt:

To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Put the Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

2. Press a key when you are prompted. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then clickNext.

3. Click Repair your computer.

4. Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.

5. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt.

6. Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.
