Steam's latest Hardware Survey

For those interested in seeing what others are using outside of our Win 7 world

Here are a few stats from STEAM....

Nvidia enjoys nearly a two to one in video card usership - 59.11 vs 32.90

Processor has Intel at nearly a 3-1 margin... Intel 72.4% AMD 27.6%

XP over Windows 7 - XP... 32.3%, Win 7 (64-bit)... 24.4%, Vista (32-bit)... 14.5%. Note that XP usership is down by 3.8 since last month/survey.

It's interesting to read the monthly surveys. Gives you a general idea of who uses what.

I can imagine the drop in Windows users on there are because they're Mac users who don't need to use Windows purely for Steam now.

Yeah, but what else are they collecting?? I don't like it when companies collect data like this and tell you it is to make a better game. Fishy, I bet they sell the data to make money.

While I understand your concern, my attitude and thought is don't use it. Trust me; we use our computers enough that they've already collected enough data about you, your habits, likes and dislikes.

At any rate the data is interesting. Gives you perspective.
