Steganos Safe 11

I have installed Steganos Safe 11 on an out of the box HP pavillion laptop with Windows 7 home premium 64 Bit pre installed. Whenever I create a safe of more than 4GB, for example 100GB the progress screen says it has created 100GB/100GB, but the "next" button does not come live, eventually Steganos says it is not responding, and, if left long enough, the entire PC freezes up, so that even the Windows button does not work. Anyone else have this problem, and know a fix? Safes under 4GB are OK, but not much use.

Chris,I've had Steganos Safe 11 installed since W7 came out(64bit) and have never had any trouble with it.I've set up two safes ,both larger than 100GB and no problems.
I had Safe 8 installed with XP on a HP desktop and that used to lock up till I discovered a conflict with my AV (PCTools SD w AV).

Rizzo, thanks. I removed/stopped all the freebies that came with HP, switched off Windows Defender and reinstalled safe, and it all seems to work now.
