stereo mix is unavalible, will not unlock

Ive tried all the methods to make it available ND NOTHING WORKED. i need some majior help please

It may not be available regardless of what you do. Ultimately, it's a function of the sound card and your sound card may not support it on Windows 7. It's a deliberate policy by certain sound card manufacturers. I'll leave it to you to wonder why they might want to make it difficult or impossible.

If that is the case, your choices are:

Get another sound card that is known to support Stereo Mix in Windows 7.

Try other drivers for your existing sound card, such as Vista drivers. Try installing them in compatibility mode.

Stereo Mix is definitely more elusive on Win 7 than on Vista or XP.

well when i first bought this computer i could use it and syill cant in audacity but nothis els but teamspeak3 but thats all

What methods specifically?

It's a driver issue and it can be frustrating and hard to get back.

I assume you have no historical System Restore points to a time when stereo mix was working?

If you have no restore points and you have not had a hardware failure and it was known to work on existing hardware at one time, all you can do is keep fiddling with driver uninstallation and reinstallation.

I have no idea if you have the right drivers or if you have made the correct choices in your Audacity configuration.

i worded that wrong, it worked fine for all uses when i first bought it, its not now but only with audacity and teamspak it works fin for even thow it says unavalible
