Sticky Notes Alternatives

Sticky Notes that comes with windows 7 isn't my fav piece of softweare, after switching from OS X for work, i find this program kinda lacking... please make me look silly if i'm wrong, but no keyboard shortcuts to close individual notes or even to just close the program down, no way of minimizing individual notes makes it a struggle for the user to work with, since i keep a ton of stickies, being able to have only a few out of all them visable on the desktop is really handy. Anyone know if i'm missing something here, or if there is an alternative program out there that i could use, thanks
