Stil getting Blue Screen

i am suspecting that BSOD i caused by hardware, and i want to know what hardware is causing the problem...

I am Working i a program called "Solid Works" in short SW, and i have been having this problem with BSOD for a long time now. the BSOD is causing SW to malfunction, and unable to start. witch means i need to reinstall SW, and sometimes the whole OS to get it to work again.

earlier i had the OS on a solid state disk, witch i suspected caused the problem.
last week i bought a "normal" hard disk (Samsung spinpoint F3 1TB) and reinstalled the OS, and SW, and today at 10:32 local time, i am working happily until the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH appears, and i manage to not rip the machine apart in rage.... though it would have been satisfying....

i really hope somebody can help, because this is getting on my nerves...

Hi,
Please check out minidump folder to see if you have more DMP

Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and copy all of the dmp files to the desktop. Select all>right-click on one>Send to>New Compressed folder. Then attach the zip file to your next post by use of the paperclip icon in the advanced editor.

Stop code 124 is almost always hardware related. Please read this article to know what it means and what to try:

Please follow step by step in there, make sure you will perform following hardware stress test:
Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.
Try this free stress test: Free Software - GIMPS

Prime95 Setup:
- extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
- double click on the executable file
- select "Just stress testing"
- select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
- "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.

i just checked 2 other dmp files from older os install, they all have the same "bug check code: 0x00000124" when i use BlueScreenView.exe so i wil get to it with testing as soon i got time.. thx alot.!

If reinstall OS still give you that stop code, it's almost definitely hardware issue, go ahead and find out what piece of hardware is bad

i ran memtest86+ for almost 18h , and no errors... se attached picture...

im running prime95 atm, and have for some hours now, but nothing so far...

hi,

no im not overclocking anything... i have been running prime95 sins yesterday, and as far as i can see, there is no errors... it seems that prime95 started a new test at 03.19 this night, and again 14.55... im not sure what it is doing... but doesn't look like its finding errors yet...

i wonder what program i need to test my video card, HP nvidia QuadroFX 1500. the program SW, im working with, is a 3D engineering program...

Try this free video stress test: FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net

FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
- Click "Quit" to exit

The video stress test didn't cause any errors, and the GPU temp maxed at 71°C... does this test stress the video memory to?? and can i test the video mem with some program like memtest86+ ?

I may have found part of your problem.

The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt

Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down). Download and install it.

Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

For troubleshooting purposes, please uninstall AVG. AVG is known to cause BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials in its place. What firewall are you running?

l160x64.sys Fri Jun 19 09:15:45 2009 - this driver was shown as an unloaded module in the dump. It is a little out of date. it is an Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T Adapter driver. Atheros Communications, Inc. See if there is an update for this driver.

i updatet the driver, and i will try getting Microsoft Security Essentials insted of AVG...
i coulden't find a new driver for the ethernet...
