So, if you haven't read my other thread, here it is: http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/159704-amd-driver.html
Basically, I'd thought it faded away, and it hasn't. The other thing that isn't helping, it my email seems to have stopped receiving every email that is sent to me. So XFX have probably replied to my support ticket, but I haven't realised.
Anyway, now that I've fixed my resolution, every time I log on to Windows, I sometimes either get dots all over the screen, a non-responding driver, or in the worst cases both. (The dots go away after time) I've got the latest AMD Catalyst driver (11.4) but it hasn't addressed my issues.

Dots sounds like an old driver in control - the gpu frequency is set above what it should be, but this may not be the case, as you say they go away - check anyway - open CCC - performance - amd overdrive - and check your gpu clock frequencies are what they should be. My other suggestion is to download a driver cleaner from this site and then reinstall the 11.4 drivers : Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (Setup) download from Guru3D.com

The clocks are 800 for the core, and 1250 for the memory. I haven't overclocked anything yet.

Sorry for double posting, but on the site it says you need to uninstall the the official drivers, and then go into safe mode. How can I do this?

uninstall ATI catalyst install manger through Control Panel\Programs\Uninstall a Program

Reboot computer.

During reboot (just after POST, before it gets to the Windows loading screen) press F8 to bring up the menu and select safe mode.

Press F8 on the boot screen - it may show the boot menu - so try again if this is the case - you may need to consult your motherboard manual if that is the wrong key, however, I have just thought of something else - type msconfig - click start then in the search at the botom type msconfig and click - then under boot - check the box with safe mode - i think the minimal one should do the trick - try others if it doesnt - i dont usually do it this way but it eliminates the f8 process and miss sometime
*Dont forget to reset it in safe mode after you finish before you reboot

uninstall ATI catalyst install manger through Control Panel\Programs\Uninstall a Program
Should I download Catalyst, then select Uninstall? Because all I see in the Control Panel list is 'ATI Catalyst Install Manager'.

Is POST when it comes up with 'BIOS = Delete' ect.? Should I just keep pressing F8 after it begins to boot?

You don't have to d/l the new version first, but it can't hurt to have it ready to go once you reboot normally.

Yep. Power On Self Test (when the computer checks all the devices etc prior to handing over to the HDD with the OS boot data)

Once that finishes, tap away. If you see the windows loading screen, you missed it.

OK, I didn't manage to find out how to get into safe mode, but I tried it and everything seems better. I opened Windows Live Mail (The thing that 90% of the time kills the driver) and nothing happened :D
