I am trying to do a clean install of Windows 7 pro 64 bit onto my new HP xw8600. After the the windows icon formed the system would go to BSOD and show the error as 0x000001234. Eventually I removed one of the two sticks of ram That came installed in the system and windows was able to load. I put back the second stick of ram and the system went to the BSOD again. I replaced the ram, I tried different sockets for the ram. I did a system diagonstic. Everything is working and all the ram is good. Windows 7 pro 64 bit will not run on my system with anything more than 2 gig of ram. The same system runs great using XP pro 32 bit where it sees the same 4 gig of ram and uses it.
