Have a licensing server running on a Windows 2012 R2 server that hangs on sessions. The only way to free up the sessions is to restart the licensing server. Is it possible to create a batch file or script to stop and start the licensing server from a desktop on the network?

A batch file using

net stop servicename
set start servicename

might do the trick for you.

Thank you for the input, but the vendor came back with alternative solution.
