stop windows from "exploding" to and from taskbar

Is there any way to customize specific Aero behavior?

For example, I would like the windows to stop "exploding" from the taskbar, either when I minimize or maximize. It's cool at first, but it takes too long to do and it's annoying me now. I just want it to close like it did in XP.

Is this possible? I tried searching everywhere, but was unable to find anything.

Go to start menu type in "system"
Go down to system and hit enter. Go to advanced system settings on the left side. Go to performance and click on settings.

It should give you some options to reduce some of the visual effects. Good luck!

I definitely suggest removing the animate windows while minimizing and maximizing because that clearly causes my system to be slower. Also, you should remove the slide tooltips and menus into view. Also, if you want, you can check off the taskbar animations.

Holy crap, why would they hide this here???? I would NEVER have found this!

I hate how Microsoft changed everything from XP and moved them into entirely new places. Something like this is impossible to find!!

=) glad I helped... Well, it was in same location in xp, except you had to go to system options.
