stopped working

windows live messenger has stopped working. What does this mean. I have received this with msn and internet broswer 8. is this a common problem
might go back to xp -Should never have said this. Windows 7 is great

Please update your system specs. The link is in my signature. You are going to go back to XP because messenger is acting up? That seems a bit extreme.

Can you log into your Live account from another machine?

yes i can log in to msn messenger of second pc with XP.

Did you do an in-place upgrade, or did you perform a clean install? Have you tried removing WLM and reinstalling it? Have any of the Google results for "windows live messenger has stopped working" helped?

yes I have remove WLM and re-installed with no effect. I have googled this alot with no result. This was a clean install. Realy stuck now.
