Strange annoying W7 problem

Hi I'm having a weird and very annoying problem with Windows 7. It's sort of hard to explain but I'll do my best. It's like the screen keeps randomly resetting itself. If I am in the middle of typing in any input box, the cursor will disappear and I have to click on the input box to get it back (it's happening as I type this). If any pulldown menus are open, they disappear. If the explorer is open to save something eg saving a picture in Chrome, the window will disappear. If I am playing a full screen game, it will minimize back to the taskbar. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's very annoying as it will happen about every 60 seconds. Please help I've scanned the forums but can't find anything, and I've tried changing the settings in power management of the network adapters, thinking my problem could be similar to the 'waking up' problem.

Sounds more like you have a rogue application causing focus issues. I would start with a anti-virus scan.
