Solved Strange "ghost" appearance of Chrome Plugin Logo

To whoever may solve this small problem:

Since a few weeks, a gray rectangle with the Chrome Plugin Logo appears briefly whenever I refresh a Chrome browser page. Better than any description, please see the attachment. I can find no reason for this. In itself I can live with it, but would rather see it gone. If anyone knows anything about the occurrence, or has seen it happen and resolved the problem, please let me know.
