Solved Strange icon disappears from taskbar

BTW: the icon is not very good to see but to me it looks like this:

It shows up (depending on your codec settings) if you play Matroska (= MKV extension) encoded clips with certain players.
pretty much like you might get the FF when FFdshow is used to show a clip

Okay, I'll try to buy a CD disk one day and to download another rescue disk, because I had a lot of time by writing Kaspersky RD into USB and I didn't do anything (I mean, I needed to download archives from internet and soon on....).

Actually that icon may also be a codec or a splitter icon.

It may be showing up when you play certain types of video. And yeah a lot of the stupid spliters put an icon in the try then don't remove it when they unload. Then when you mouse over them (I get like 10 sometimes!) they all dissapear at once.

So try playing a few different video file types, you may see it show up with say .mkv files. If so, it's normal.
