Strange Icon that had no properties and cant be deleted??

Can Anyone help out on how to get rid of this thing? Can't left click it , right click or do anything with it, How it got there, I have no idea.......

Right click the white area in the directory, click view, click details.

Re-post a screenshot of what it lists.

If still nothing at all, go to Start and type cmd.

It should default to that directory, so type "dir" and hit enter.

It will list all of the files and folders in that directory. Post a screenshot of that also please.

That's the funny thing, you can't right click it, if you do you get no menu or anything, you can't even drag it out of there, its just blank and stuck and have no clue where it came from. Machine is Virus/spyware clean

No, no. Don't right click the FILE, right click the white space beneath all of the files

Also, try a quick reboot.

Tried a reboot, Did as you said here's your pic

Click Organize > Folder and Search options > View Tab

Check to see if you are showing hidden files or not, if so, choose do NOT show hidden files

One more screenshot please, can you hover your mouse over the file to show the same info as the desktop folder in your previous screenshot?

You may try safe mode, try modifying the file there. May or may not work, I do not know.

Not showing hidden files, Heres your screenshot, Doesnt show much........ Mouse was hovering right over the file and nada no info at all. Maybe something in the registry?

Tried safemode (Minimal) still there, and can't be deleted, This is one weird file, icon , whatever you wanna call it.

I really wish I did, I just noticed it today when i went into the folder.... Strange it even there in safe mode with no extra drivers loaded.

Yes I added God mode yesterday....... Try getting rid of that?

Deleted the God Mode Folder I had created and instantly that dumb thing went away.

It may be the problems since you're running x67, it's a possible side effect. At least this is a possible lead to the cause.

Or when ? You may have a system restore prior to that period .
