Hey guys, I'm going crazy with this networking issue that I'm having and I have tried asking a few forums for help. I noticed these were a lot more active so I thought I would ask here as well. Here is a link to another thread I started (instead of typing out everything that I have tried again):

Network help

If anyone could help out, it would be greatly appreciated!

The WRT54G has at least 12 different versions, they usually require firmware updates in order to work correctly with Windows 7. You also have the option of using the tomato firmware or the DDwrt firmware but you need to google around for them.

We have the latest firmware for the router. Also, this problem does not happen with any other device on the network (3 laptops, 1 other PC, 2 360s).

I highly suggest you try the tomato or the DDwrt firmware. We get complains about that router all the time but there are so many different versions so it's very important that you use firmware that is made specifically for your version number.

Doesn't matter if the problem is confined to just one machine.

Why does it only happen to my connection though? It's very hard to convince others in the family to let me take the internet down, which will inconvenience everyone else, just to troubleshoot my problem.

I got a new router (WNDR3700) and it didn't fix the problem.
