I get this notification :
Address a problem with Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Kaspersky Anti-Virus has stopped working properly.
A newer version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus is available for download that might solve this problem.
Kaspersky Lab recommends updating to the latest version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus to take advantage of security and stability improvements.
But I don't have Kaspersky antivirus intalled and never had it.

I would look at your msconfig/startup programs just to verify that you dont have Kaspersky on there somehow... Windows wouldnt give you a specific message like that one if Kaspersky werent there...

A lot if OEMs send you anti virus option. This may be one of those cases.

It's probably there somewhere.

NOT necessarily true....it could be a timed mal-ware that pops up a warning as if something in the local system just happened....and it can look awfuklly legit and deceiving to some folks.

When clicked on it it then asks if you want to take some kind of scan action. No matter what buttons pushed it will keep poping up advertisements that actually look like legit warning messages.

This happened all the time on an XP installation I have until I eventually located the mal-ware on my drive and got it off the drive.

Thanks for reply!
I've looked in msconfig/startup and there was nothing suspicious. And it's not OEM i'ts RC version I've downloaded from microsoft website.
The message not pops up, it is in windows Action Center. When I click on to download latest version it takes me to Kaspersky's official website. I've checked it's not a fishing or other malicious website.
