strange operations

so i posted a few days ago about how my brand new toshiba l675 would slow up dramatically when more than 1 window was open so i thiught it had probs and was thinking about returning it so before i did that i wasd at my store where i tried using it with more than 1 window and it works just fine i have a 2wire router there and at my house im running a newer dlink router all other computers seem to be just fine but not this new toshiba, any suggestions would be of great help at this point. thx in advance...

what happens when you run more then one window

Brand name computers usually come with a boatload of unnecessary programs running. Post a screenshot of running processes with the "all users..." button ticked and maybe we can spot some stuff you can get rid of.

at my store it works fine with more then 1 window open ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, at home it slows down big time with more then 1 window open

Maybe it's some rotten Feng shui. :sarc:

The fact that location has an effect makes me think it's something to do with your network connection. Could there be something in how your home network is set up which is making the computer use a lot of extra resources trying to connect?

What programs are you running when this happens? A screenshot of all your running processes might help.

1 dyndns webcam ebay it even is much slower just running 1 program alone at home, its really weird because other laptops work just fine but they are running windows xp. though

Lets try disabling your network adapter(s). What happens? Still slow, or does it work normal?

Use the Win7 wireless utility, not the bloated factory one. Turn it off.

Use a lean mean AV solution like free MS Security Essentials or Avast 5, which work perfectly with the Windows FIrewall.

Set a System Restore point, uncheck all of the items in msconfig>Startup except AV and gadgets. All others are freeloaders on your RAM/CPU and can start when you click them.

Clean and order your HD with CCleaner then Auslogics Disk and Registry defraggers.
