Strange Problem with gadgets

Hello everyone,
My desktop gadgets play up a lot, sometimes when I open a new window or application, my desktop gadgets stay on top of the window and won't go away unless I close them and open them again, or resize the gadget that is playing up.

This problem is tolerable, but gets quite tedious when the problem reoccurs lots.

Happens to me sometimes, I just right click on them. Did you try that?

Do you know what causes it? Or is it just a glitch in the programming?

I would say its a glitch. As I said it happens to me maybe once a week. I did not consider it a problem.

Happens to me sometimes, my doc does that too. Just left click on the open page somewhere and it will be on top then. just an oddity. A Guy

That is not quite the problem, when I click somewhere off the gadget, the gadget stays there, thanks anyway

Just some additional information. It happens to me only when I boot, wake from sleep etc.

Thanks , it does normally happen to me when my computer has high CPU usage and is using most the ram too, my computer is a bit slow sometimes

I know your answer its your ram. You have barely the minimum. If it were my computer, I would turn off aero, gadgets and all other window dressing. Your computer cannot do it all.
1.5 GB cannot do everything at once.

Thank you, it was a good job I upgraded my ram before I installed windows 7 then, I started with only 512MB
I'll try and get a 2GB chip soon to replace the 512 MB one

I can bet it is the ram. You have the minimum. It can not work like you have more.
To get a good feel for what you really need, you double what Microsoft says.

same problem

I know this tread is really old, but...

I have the same problem, multiple times daily, 8g ram. It happens if I move one gadget near, or over, where another gadget resides underneath. The only solution so far is to "show desktop". It works, but it's happening too often.

I welcome all suggestions.
