Strange RAM Problem

About twice per week I get a strange message (see picture 1). I traced the origin to the csrss.exe (see picture 2).

Ran 10 pases of Memtest 86 the whole night. It did not find anything. Gave my RAM a clean bill of health. Does anybody have any idea what that could be?

PS: I am running my webradio with the Chrome.exe - That is all it ever runs all day.

Hmm, 70 people looked at this thread but nobody seems to have a clue. The few times I post one of my problems, I never seem to get any or much input. Are my problems so strange?

Looks like a coding error. Prob trying to write to a non-valid or protected memory location. I don't think it is your RAM, but the OS protecting pages.

Thanks Gene - that is a real possibility because it is always caused by Chrome which I use for my webradios. I should check whether it appears always with the same station (I use only 3 stations). But this may take a while since it does not happen very often.

Hi there;
I found a few web pages which explain the functionality of csrss.exe (Microsoft's Client Server Runtime Server Subsystem ) and some problems frequently encountered. My observation is that you have NO problem with your memory but that instead Chrome is ill-behaved (as I've encountered as well). It is as well possible that there's a driver conflict somewhere in this realm - if this error always occurs during the use of Google's Chrome it is Chrome who is at fault.

I'd definitely say it's something to do with Chrome, and nothing to do with your memory. If your memory was bad you'd get other memory related errors as well, and with more then one program.

I stoped using crome. i Found IE9 64bit faster in everyway over firefox 3/4 beta/Minefield and Crome less errors also with other stuff i use with it

Thanks guys. I like the action. I will study all that - tomorrow. Now it is 1.02 AM.

PS: I use IE9 for my normal work, Opera for my web research and Chrome only for my music from 3 webradios. In Ubuntu I use Chromium for everything because the FF is so damn slow - like 10 times slower. I never liked the FF.

Just FYI. IE9-64 does not have the new JavaScript engine that is included with IE9-32 so you should find that IE9-32 is a bit faster. MS doesn't think a 64bit browser is needed so they put their main effort in the 32bit version.
