Today when booting Windows 7 I noticed Aero was disabled, I also noticed my wireless was disabled.

Turns out WLAN AutoConfig was disabled.

Now, I had both Aero and WLAN AutoConfig disabled (by choice) a time ago. So I'm thinking it must have rolled back to a point before I turned thoes two services on.

But why would it just roll itself back (if that is the case)?

I did fiddle around with some networksecurity policies the night before.

Hello Darke218 and welcome to the forums.

I'm no expert here :(, but i would suspect it's an issue with your latest changes.
That's the first thing i suspect/think if i have issues after i made a change(s).

I did fiddle around with some networksecurity policies the night before.
Can you explain in detail what you changed?
That info could help the SF experts help solve your issue.

Do you have a restore point/backup image from before the problem started?

Sorry i can't help with your current issue, but my advice going forward:
Make sure you have a Backup/Restore strategy in place to recover from issues.
I've learned this lesson (many times):o and I'm sure others would agree...

hope this helps,
david
