I'm using HP Pavilion dv5-1116em laptop which came with Vista preinstalled. Later I installed Windows 7 Ultimate and installed drivers available from HP site. Now the problem is, whenever I sign-in and sign-out, the sound comes through both headset and speaker. Can anybody help me to solve this problem. BTW I'm using latest skype version 4.1.0.179.

Please help me.

Regards
Shibu

I don't use Skype but perhaps there is a setting within it that allows you to choose or deselect audio outputs?

Do mp3s play through both when you have Skype open too?

Thanks for the help. I changed some audio settings in skype, now the problem is ok. But now the problem is with yahoo messenger.

When I'm playing a song in Windows Media Player, if try to make a call in Yahoo Messenger, during the ring, the media player sound switches to the speaker and if a call is connected media player pauses. After the call is finished media player resumes and comes back to the headset.

Is this the problem with Yahoo Messenger (9.0.0.2162) or Media player or the sound driver ?

Please help me.
