I have a problem with Sound in Toshiba L755 Laptop.

Any Video (from local hard disk playing on a media player OR online youtube video) works normally for a random periods (minute to several minutes) then the sound stops while the video continues to play.

No sound output from the speakers while when i plug the headphone i find the sound is working.

I tried different browsers and different media players.

i installed the latest version of flashplayer and the latest drivers from Satellite Support | Toshiba

I need a solution please.

I have to close the browser or the media player for the sound to work again from the speaker. and the file play for minutes and then the sound stops again the same way.

Ok not having much luck with the Toshiba site (no great surprise) so engbasem run Speccy mate and send a snip of the Audio section opened out it may give a clearer picture of what is in the machine as there are refs to Conexant and NVidia and so many different versions of that model on the Toshiba site

Speccy - Download < from piriform

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html

Looking at the problem again and the fact that the audio fades away maybe indicative of a connection problem inside the machine but lets see what you have got in the Speccy readout first.

Ok mate I will have another look through for the drivers for the machine but I am still thinking it is probably something to do with that speaker connection cable.

I may be little while but I shall be back.

engbasem now I don't know how old the machine is bit again I am assuming it has some age on it and as the drivers and the scans have been done and have had no effect one thing I would be looking for is a physical connection somewhere.
I am also wondering if you have done any security checks with on call scanners if not try these

http://www.superantispyware.com/

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

download from bleeping computer

it is a long shot but doesn't take long and may come up with a fix. Any rubbish they come up with delete.

Secondly and if you are confident enough to do this then you could check out the speaker connection cable gently remove it and then replace to eliminate any bad contacts or what are known as dry joints (soldered joints where the solder has cracked for example therefore losing contact especially as the machine warms up) I am sending a site that shows the disassembly of the L755 and you can check this speaker connection without having to take the whole machine apart.
It is very important you read the introductory page to be sure of how to disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cables under the keyboard see pic.
Now go to the disassembly guides and scroll down to the L755 (see pic) and click on it. then follow steps 7 to 17. At step 17 you will find the speaker cable connection I speak of (see pics). Gently disconnect it and replug it back in and check the soldered joints around that motherboard socket.
When done reverse the order of disassembly being careful not to overly force anything home. The keypad is easy to remove by gently un clipping the thin strip along the top of it and remove it from the machine after you have removed those small screws holding it down.

A TIP Do this on a large white bath towel spread out on the work surface - any small screws dropped will be trapped on the towel and not bounce / skid of onto the floor and be lost forever.
If you are not sure about doing this then don't and post back.

PS Sorry forgot the site - http://www.irisvista.com/
