Strange stuck key issue

We are currently experiencing a strange issue that is showing all the signs of a stuck key, it’s happening to about 2 users at the moment and they all reside in the same office. It happens after they unlock their machines after being away for a short while; it will open multiple windows or put new lines in documents that are open. The confusion comes as they have both had several keyboards and even had their workstations replaced twice yet it still happens. My hunch is it is a web application they both use or more importantly a certain part of it as lots of others use the same app but not the part these two have access to and it is processing some sort of key press code when they unlock the workstations (if that’s possible of course). My plea for help is has anyone ever heard of such an issue? How do I troubleshoot it? (We’ve already checked that sticky keys is not being turned on) or how do I prove it’s this web app causing it?
Any help is gratefully received as this is driving us crazy.
