Strange "warning" message during startup

Hello WSF,

I recently installed the Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit OS on my rig. Ever since installation I've been having this really odd warning at startup during boot process.
This is how it happens:
1) Power on, XFX splash screen pops up and computer proceeds through the DOS screens and whatnot
2) Literally seconds after the XFX Splash screen and after some system loading occurs, a warning appears on screen while still in the DOS screens.
It says exactly this: "Warning! The system case was opened sometime after last reboot. Please check the system." Then below that: "Press F1 to continue or DEL to enter Setup."
I've seen and experienced F1 warnings, like the "Floppy Drive Missing!" Etc, fixed those. But nothing like this. I've searched all over Google for it and I have come up with nothing. As far as I'm concerned there are no records of it.
Right now it isn't a primary concern, just an annoying obstacle, as I cannot walk away to let me PC boot like I used to. I have to wait to press F1; just an inconvenience. BUT, what does concern me is its mysteriousness. Could it be some sort of virus/intrusion? I have McAfee's best protection and have kept my HDD pretty darn clean. How could the system even detect that my case was open in the first place anyhow? I've opened my case many times before this OS installation without any problems. Any help/insight appreciated.
Thanks,
AOTC

1) Make sure your case is closed.

2) Reset the case open setting in your BIOS.

Your PC case has a chassis intrusion switch. Reset in BIOS.

It means your PC case was opened.

Welcome AOTC,

This should be a setting in your BIOS.

In a recent Gigabyte MB I installed it had this setting for chassis intrusion detection in the PC Health Status menu of the CMOS Setup Utility. There was also a connector on the MB for attaching someting to see if the case panels were opened.

Hope this helps, so maybe you can turn it off in you Bios setup :geek:

Beat by 2 others, gotta learn speed typing :(

Fixed it! I just turned off my rig, opened the case up and closed it, booted up and it was gone. I also changed a jumper on my mobo, too. I noticed it was somewhere it shouldn't have been, don't know if that could have had something to do with it. But anywho, thanks a bunch guys. As simple as it was...I overlooked opening and closing the case :o

Thanks again,
