Hello

Last night while i was playing some Civ 4 my computer decided that it was a perfect OK time for a system update, so it went on with that, after the computer had started up again, i noticed something were extremely wrong, my resolution had gone haywire, i wasnt able to set it to my native resolution which is 1680x1050 in any way.

My problem is almost completely identical to the issue in this thread:

http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/23414-widescreen-resolutions-lost.html

With the one exception that it doesnt help at all when i put the computer to sleep, ive tried everything the author of that thread has tried, rolling the computer back, reinstalling drivers, uninstalling them, visiting Acers website for drivers, googling for answer and so on, ive even tried reformatting the computer. Didnt work.

So now im here asking for help. Can anyone help me set my Screen resolution back to its native, im rather desperate and ive got pies for the nice guy who helps me solve this problem.

Is there an ACER utility that will allow you to create custom resolutions? I would just create the resolution I was looking for. I seems odd to me that rolling back the updates didn't help.
