Stuck in start up repair cycle

Haven't used this laptop Dell Inspiron M5010 in a couple years . Will not start up normally and continuously goes thru repair start up cycle .

You can work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start but it may be faster to run Dell Windows 7 PC Restore or do a Clean Reinstall Windows 7 so you have the best install instead of an old mess.

You have within your power the ability to do a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which will beat any new PC you'd buy. If you instead decide to run Factory Recovery then you can improve performance afterward following Clean Up Factory Bloatware

Since Dell has built-in Diagnostics, start by running Dell Hardware Diagnostics from F12 Menu to know it's hardware condition. If these will run then during any reinstall be sure to save the Dell Utility partition which houses these.
