See if you can access the Device Manager in Safe Mode, by tapping F8 at bootup.

Try it this way if necessary: Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation - Windows 7 Forums

You are going to be looking for Devices in error (!) to uninstall the Device to see if installation will finish.

This problem can also occur if you have the display outputted to a projector or TV card so that when it loads it is cutting out the monitor. Make sure any other display device is disabled and you are using a VGA monitor to complete install.

If these steps don't help, here are some other things to try:

Make sure you have the latest BIOS version. If so, reset the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

While in BIOS set SATA controller to AHCI to try install. Unplug all HD's and peripherals. Wipe the HD before install: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation - Windows 7 Forums

Remove all but 2gb of RAM to try install. Test your RAM with memtest for 5-6 passes or overnight: RAM - Test with Memtest86+ Swap your RAM.

As a last resort you can swap the HD into another computer, remove it's HD to install to the target HD. Then SysPrep the HD to remove all drivers before returning to the problem machine: SysPrep to move HD to another computer
