And I installed the drivers on my Virtual XP and yet it still won't work.... all i have is a stupid soundblaster option in sound settings which i don't have or want as i need a high quality thing for recording.... why won't these drivers work yet will normally work on XP ?

Welcome to the virtual machine world :)

This is a typical case, which is why we call it "Virtual" Machine. Don't expect to plugin a new hardware and vm will recognize it. All hardware has to be virtualized in order for the vm to pick up.

If your audio card is USB based (I doubt it), you may have a chance, since USB devices conform to the same protocol. Otherwise, there is no way, unless Virtual PC implements a specific virtual device for your audio device.
