Solved Stuck with no bootable windows

Hey all, never posted on a forum before but here goes.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and recently got a new SSD, so I tried to delete everything off new HDD but windows 7 doesn't let you delete itself from within windows, so I left it and install windows 7 on the SSD. I formatted the old harddrive but assumed the 100mb partition was to do with windows in my previous setup so formatted that using Win7 DVD.

It was actually the bootable part of the new setup using the old HDD so my new setup is on my SSD but useless.

How can I create the a new bootable Partition from the Windows 7 DVD? is that possible? Or is it going to be a lot more complex than that?

You needed to unplug all other HD's when installing Win7 to the new one. It instead configured a Dual Boot placing the boot files on the previous System partition.

To solve this, mark SSD WIn7 partition Active: Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two).
It must be a Primary partition to mark Active, lest you'll first have to convert to Primary using free Partition Wizard CD.

Once it's marked Active, power down to unplug the HD, swap its cable to the SSD or set it first to boot in BIOS setup.

Then boot the WIn7 DVD Repair console to run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times until SSD Win7 starts on its own and holds the System flag.

You can then plug back in the HD to access its data, or boot it if needed using one-time BIOS Boot Menu key at boot.

Hopefully you correctly installed from boot and not Win7 as it must be installed from boot to always be seen as C when booted.
