Hello guys,

This is actually a stupid question and I know that enhancing my CPU will be the resolution, but due to tight budget I need to stick with the desktop that I have.

I just want to ask if there are any workarounds or somehow tweaks that could help me increase my fps on DOTA2. Currently ia have 30-40fps and if there is a clash it drops down to 20-30fps.

I have read lots of tweaks here and there; in youtube and read a lot of forums guides but still it is the same.

SPECS:
ASROCK H61M-DGS
I3 2120
Nvidia GTX 430
6GB RAM
running WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64bit, but running DOTA2 on 32bit using steamapps
(which would run better according to forums(majority) online)

I'm not hoping for the best but somehow someone could enlighten me :P
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Using the commands they recommend in forums or other pages does not help in increasing the fps ? I read out there that using some commands could generate glitches.
The other solution would be the classic reduction of graphic quality in the video options(when I played on my Pentium 4 the only solution was to lower all the graphic quality).

I see, thanks for the reply.
When we say lower down the graphic quality does that mean I need to follow the monitor setting and the best performance/looking(i think) on the video option tab?

Set to everything to low in the video option. If the frames are good but you're not satisfied with the quality then go increase the resolution up and other graphical settings. If you get an FPS below 40, then set it to the last good settings.

GTX 430 does not exist.

6GB is a weird configuration. I'd recommend you to use 8GB instead.

I'm also wondering where and why you'd use the Ultimate edition of 7?

In options you go to the video tab.
On the right side there are several boxes to mark, each to add an effect to the game. Leave it as it came by default.
But down there you will find the quality of the textures and shadows which have three levels: high, medium and low.

I do not know if that is configured according to the hardware that automatically detects the game or always comes like this for everyone. In my case the texture quality in Medium and the shadows are High.
