I have a copy of Windows 7 Enterprise on my USB disk. I just purchased an ASUS U47A and I wanted to install it. I booted to the disk and I formatted the drive. When I went to install it said I couldn't because my hard drive partition was GPT. So I went in, formatted the disk and booted to cmdline. When I used diskpart to change the partition of disk 0 (the only hard drive) using change mbr, it said I couldn't because it was one that is unchangeable. (I.E. CDROM/Floppy) Aren't hard drives' partition status changable? Or did I screw up my computer horribad?

If you had an GPT disk then your BIOS is most likely EFI requiring special installation steps.

But Enterprise is not for consumers but uses Volume Licensing for businesses and organizations activated by an IT department. How is it you have Enterprise?
