User CP---> Edit Options----> Under Default Thread Subscription Mode----> Check No Email Notification and Save

4. Select "Do not subscribe" or "No Email Notification"

1. go to User CP
2. GO to Edit Options
3. Find Default Thread Subscription Mode
4. Select "Do not subscribe"
That does work, but then when someone answers you will not be notified.
To the FCVP, use the first method, if you want to know when your posts are answered.
