Solved Suddenly freeze followed by bluescreen

Hi,

My new computer is suddenly freezes out of nothing. Some times when I am browsing the internet, other times when renaming a file, and now when I am playing. It is happening 3-4 times a day now. There is nothing particular that triggers the problem.

I have to shut down the computer from power button to be able to use it. some times it goes to blue screen and restarts.

My OS is in Danish but I hope you can help me. I have uploaded the minidump and the other file as .rar and .zip

Though the crash dump does not give us more info about the BSOD, but a sop 0x3B is a memory related issue. Either the physical RAM is failing or any driver is passing bad info to the memory. Let us check both the possibilities.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.

How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+

Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning

Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

• If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
• If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Hi Arc,

Thanks for the replay. I will start running memtest and see what it says

I did a system restore point.
Run memtest -No errors
Enabled Driver Verifier -Restarted the computer and hell broke loose.
The systemt wouldnt enter windows.
Went safe mode - Diabled DV - restarted windows. Now the keyboard, and network doesnt work.
Restarted windows in Normal mode just to be sure - Keyboard, and network doesnt work.
Tried to restore the system to the point which i had created. System restore says error, and that it cant restore the system, and gave me an error code. I googled the code, and found plenty of possible solutions. Tried a few of them, which didnt solve my problem either.
So now I am going to re install the whole OS and start all over. I hope re installing windows will solve all the issues including the BSOD that i experienced earlier.

As memtest86+ did not show any error, a clean reinstall is expected to solve your BSOD issue. Let us know how it goes.

I can confirm that re-installing windows have solved the problem. I'am still not sure what caused the problem (Drivers, games etc) but that doesnt matter now

Clean reinstall is always good.
