Evening All

I've had no previous connection issues since I installed 7 Pro a couple of weeks ago. Now suddenly it I'm unable to connect to the internet/ email
I can see the other PC's on our home network and they can connect to the net hence this email, All PC's are connected through a Belkin ADSL/2 wired router.

One thing I did notice was that this happened just after I removed a software app from my PC. I have used restore and rolled it back but still no luck

Since I'm new to 7 I don't even know where to start looking

Hi.

You have a dns issue. Look for mdnsrepsonder.exe in the task manager and let us know if it's there. That would mean you have Bonjour service and we can tell you how to specifically remove it from the system.

Otherwise, if you set a static ip address with the following as your dns server, all will be well:

208.67.222.222

You could also try resetting the TCP/IP stack. From an elevated command prompt, copy and paste the following then hit enter:

netsh winsock reset
