Everything has been working alright until today. Turned on my computer, went to YouTube to listen to some music and I'm not getting any sound at all. No sound in my games or anywhere else at all.

When I go on Skype and into the audio controls. It does register sound, but I'm not hearing anything.

What I'm using:
- Asus Xonar DX
- Steel Series Siberia V2 (analog)

Hi ecko69x

I asume you have already checked, if anything has been unpluged by accident?

-What does it show in Sound -> Playback
(Windows + R -> mmsys.cpl)

- Any notifications in Device Manager -> Sound, video and game controllers?

- Any recent updates / changes recently?

The easiest first step, since it worked OK and now it does not is to use the System Restore function and restore the PC back to an available restore date when it did work. If that does not fix it, System Restore has an 'undo" option to undo the restore.

System Restore can be accessed from Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools.

or like that! Much better ;)
However easiest would be to perform a simple reboot and then check again? :D

If that doesn't work:

Have you checked if the latest driver for your audio card has been installed?
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download Xonar DX

Please also check if the Windows Audio Service is running.
msconfig -> Services -> "Windows Audio" (check)
or
Windows + R -> services.msc -> Windwos Audio (right click - start)

Kind regards,
jroot

I rebooted the computer and it works again. Don't know why it didn't work this morning. Sorry for the hassle, but at least I know where to check for solutions thanks to you guys.
