Hi guys,

What book is your suggestion about computer networks/networking? I'm going to read the best book of that topic. I want to read one that is theoretical and also practical to prepare me to be able to go on real world's computer networks/networking.

Thanks.

With respect to your opinion, learning this important subject only from the web is completely wrong.

With respect to your opinion, I have used internet and test servers and domains to create networks and try to solve the issues learning from that why they could occur. I have passed MCSE without needing to take thet actual course and all that with Internet so you as a user of internet still havent undertood the power of internet in our days.

Quote from WikiPedia - "The Internet in general and the World Wide Web in particular are important enablers of both formal and informal education." (For your refference -Internet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Young skanigins,

I have understood the power of the WWW and also its defects. The resources like Wikipedia and forums are free places with right and wrong comments on them. MCSE although is a good skill but isn't a such important mastery for using much in the computer networks worlds because of it's origin which is for the Microsoft products (regardless of this issue that it's for more than 10 years before).

PS: If you had such knowledge about the computer networks and the Internet, you didn't do that mistake, referring to the "Internet" by word "internet". The internet & Internet are not equal and each one defines specific thing(s).

I agree about that they could be right and wrong that why practice is needed. A good example if you want to learn language just reading books or using internet is not good enough because practice is needed. But everything I needed picked up from Internet. Thats only my own opinion and am not trying to make it to be yours.
