Hey there fellow members I know this is a little off topic compared to most of the threads on here, But I am not quite up on the Surround Sound side of things, I purchased a Sony 5.1 system the model number is SA-CRW55/SA-CRW33 it comes with everything but the Amplifier/Receiver and I am uncertain where I am looking and what I need for this system if there is anyone who might be able to provide some information on that, that would be grateful thank you!

Swifty.

I believe those speakers handle 100w each, so basically what you need is a 5.1 channel receiver that puts out somewhere between 75w-100w per channel which should drive those speakers nicely. Yamaha, Pioneer, Sony, and Onkyo all make receivers that would compliment your speakers. A 7.1 channel receiver would also work with your 5.1 set up if you come across one you really like, or plan to add more speakers later.

Thank you Mike, I was curious as to what it meant in the manual, my subs being maximum output of 100w and my two tower's being 100w and then my 2 small speakers and sound bar maximum output is 70w. So that means I need to look for one that is any where from 75w-100w and that would be the main wattage it would specify when looking for one such as Sony 5.1 Receiver 100w?

A 100w 5.1 channel receiver will be putting out 100w to each speaker, they generally don't have different wattages for different speaker channels. That being said if you get a 100w 5.1 receiver you should have no problem hooking the 70w speakers to it as long as you are not pushing them to the point of distortion.
